I have a hard time not sharing Babe Ruth photos, so here are a few more.

Clockwise from top:

1. Babe Ruth signs the first of many balls and bats to be given to those in citizen military camps, 1929, Harris & Ewing.

2. Babe Ruth hits his third home run in a single game, a new record, 1920.

3. Babe Ruth carries a 300-pound log (according to the caption) for the stove in the snow, 1920s.

4. Babe Ruth stands with a “mascot” in 1922, Bain News Service.

5. Caption says Babe Ruth on May 28, 1924. One source says this photo was taken after he joined the New York National Guard to use for recruitment purposes.

6. George Sisler, Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb before the 1924 World Series.

7. Babe Ruth in 1921. The caption doesn’t say what is happening here, but Ruth worked to help underprivileged children. Bain News Service.
